17/05/2012 - Project Ideas II

RGS girls are known for their defining characteristic - "procrastinating". I'm not as bad as some of my classmates, I know, but still, I completely put off thinking about what to do until the day before the SIP Proposal deadline.

This either shows I'm terribly lazy, or I'm terribly busy. I hope it's both, so that I can give more  excuses...*ahem ahem*, reasons to myself, but that wouldn't work because both reasons are so terribly contradictory.

In any case, on this day I went on the net searching for water experiments. Shermaine, my friend, has told me that she is willing to introduce me to this university professor who could possibly give me a discount in the sale of water membranes used in filtration, so I wanted to come up with a water filtration experiment.

Unfortunately, I found none. Fortunately, I stumbled across something...interesting, I should say?

According to Natural News, a conducted experiment showed that microwaved water killed plants, while conventionally-boiled water did not. I don't exactly understand the very scientific explanation the news article wrote, but I assume that means microwave ovens are not safe, contrary to popular belief.

I thought that was pretty cool.

Thus I began forming my idea...
